For Participants in Ginza Design Consultations
Business Owners/Clients

At Ginza Design Consultations, we are interested not only in the visible design elements but also in the underlying ideas and intentions of business owners and project developers.
Beyond consulting on the appearance at the time of project completion, we view the ongoing sharing of “Ginza-ness” between the business operators and the community as an essential part of Ginza’s urban development. We encourage you to actively participate in the consultation process.
Designers and Architects

Ginza seeks to remain a cutting-edge commercial city, not by merely preserving the existing streetscape but by welcoming innovative ideas that create vibrancy.
It is essential for designers and architects to consider “Ginza-ness” in the early stages of planning and design. The Ginza Design Rules have been prepared as a resource to assist you, and we welcome any inquiries you may have—so please feel free to reach out not only for pre-application consultations but at any time.
Contractors

The Ginza Design Council is housed together with the All-Ginza Association’s office, which serves as a repository of information regarding streets and areas throughout Ginza.
Information regarding the original paving, flower beds, scheduled events during construction, construction vehicle routes, and the concerns of local residents is available. We recommend that you consult with us before commencing any work.
Checklist
At Ginza Design Consultations, a checklist is used to ensure that projects are appropriate for Ginza by considering various aspects related to the urban landscape.
Please refer to each check point, please refer to Ginza Design Rules booklet introduced above.
